Orange Rose Centerpiece Inspiration

Orange roses are so gorgeous at weddings during this time of year.  There are so many beautiful ways to incorporate this delicate flower.  Some brides like a rustic feel with burlap and branches, while others prefer gold details and deep accent colors. Whether you choose candle light or twinkle lights, you can't go wrong with a fully bloomed orange rose.

A single rose looks elegant in this vintage glass vase.  (source unknown)

Orange roses are paired with hydrangeas and fall foliage for this rustic wedding.

We love how the green berries and eggplant accents pop against these fully bloomed orange roses.

This bride added persimmons and saturated oranges in her floral arrangements.

This pumpkin vase centerpiece with an assortment of flowers, including orange roses, is breathtaking.

We love how the bride mixed peach roses, burnt orange tea roses and mums in this centerpiece.

Handmade "I Do" Pumpkins

Using pumpkins as cute signs is a unique way to say I Do at a fall wedding.  We love this display of pumpkins used by the alter, one pair saying "I Do" and the other saying "Me Too."  Add mums, vintage twinkle lights, and wooden chairs, and you have the perfect backdrop for exchanging vows.  This look is a fun, easy DIY project you can complete a week before your wedding.  Here's how.

Replicate the Look:
4 medium pumpkins
Craft Paint, any color
4 inch letter stencils (Hobby Lobby)
Fine tip paint brush

Using the stencils and a pencil, outline the letters directly onto the pumpkins
Fill in letters with water proof craft paint
Dry according to the paint instructions

Detroit Institute of the Arts Engagement Photos

The Detroit Institute of the Arts (DIA) has been a cultural landmark for over a century.  What better place to show your love for Detroit and your fiance than on the historical steps of the DIA?  The Italian-Renaissance style building features gorgeous white marble and tall black doors with intricate ironwork.  It is the perfect cosmopolitan backdrop for a modern Michigan couple.  This bride wore a red cocktail dress, but you could easily dress it up in a ballgown or dress it down in a sundress.  Have you considered taking your photos at the DIA?

Our Favorite Braided Up Dos

I am the luckiest girl in the world to have had six of the most beautiful bridesmaids.  They made sure that I was super relaxed and excited on my big day.  Each of my bridesmaids selected a unique braided up do to wear the day of my wedding.  They all looked absolutely gorgeous.  It is hard to see the braid in each girl's hair in this picture, but you can see the inspiration that we used below.  I loved how each girl had a different style, but they were all linked through a braid in their hair.

Hopefully our favorite up dos inspire the way you or your bridesmaids do their hair on your big day!
